19 DAYS UGANDA TOUR and Gorilla Tracking

Day 1  Kampala City tour
After breakfast your  tour guide will brief you on the day’s program then take  you around Kampala City to some of the important tourist sites such as Kasubi tombs, the St. Balikudembe Market formerly known as Owino Market, The Uganda Museum, the Bahai Temple, the Nomo Gallery for handicrafts, and many others. If it is a Sunday or a Thursday, visit the Synagogue Church of All Nations - a lot of miracles with prophesies are performed in the name of Jesus Christ. Kampala is basically referred to as “a city on the hills” derived from its original location on 7 hills that offer ed the key points of direction and distinctiveness; some of these hills are closely linked to colonial history. Rubaga hill is the catholic center; it is where the Rubaga Cathedral is found. Namirembe hill the protestant center where Namirembe Cathedral is found. Makerere hill which houses the impressive and historic Makerere University Kampala the oldest university campus in Uganda. Kololo hill which is a diplomatic area and provides administrative offices for diplomatic missions, Kibuli the Islamic center, Mengo hill which houses the Kabaka’s palace and is a center for Buganda’s Central government and Mbuya hill where we find the biggest army barracks and hospital closest to the city center. SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF KAMPALA Trail
This track captures you to the Uganda Museum, markets in town, imaginative local arts and crafts markets, Bahai temple, Makerere University, the National Theater, Namugongo Uganda Martyrs Shrine, the Ndere Center, shopping in some of the Kampala Shopping centres.
THE KABAKA’S TRAIL
This  trail  takes you to Nagalabi coronation site, Kasubi tombs a palace turned burial place for three of Buganda’s Kabaka’s, Wamala tombs, Katereke prison ditch, Ssezibwa falls, Kabaka’s man made Lake, Kabaka’s palace Mengo.

Have a dinner and an overnight at Speke Hotel/ Cassia Lodge . BB

Day 2 Jinja Tour
After breakfast, drive to Jinja; take a stop over at Mabira forest for a forest walk and then you will be transferred to Bujagali Falls. The cultural performances in this area are awesome.   Visit the source of the Nile- take a boat ride to the actual source of the Nile. You can choose to go for white water rafting. Visit the local communities and share with them their cultural experiences.
Have a dinner and an overnight at Jinja Resort Hotel/ Gately on the Nile/ Kingfisher resort. (Full Board).

Day 3  TO Sippi falls Mountain Elgon National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Mt. Elgon at Sipi Falls. Spend the whole afternoon visiting the various caves and the surrounding villages as you interact with this friendly community. Their diverse cultural value - including the Female Genital Mutilation, is quite charming! Have a dinner and an overnight at Sipi Falls Rest Camp/ Lucum lodge (Full Board)

Day 4 to Karamoja
After breakfast you will be transferred to Pian Upe through Namalu sub-county. Take a guided walk and interact with the Pian Karamajong. Their culture is among the most interesting. The handicrafts at Namalu are so interesting. In the afternoon move back to Kampala. Have a dinner and an overnight at  Cassia  Lodge . BB

Day 5  To Murchison falls National park
Early in the morning, our tour guide will transfer you to the Rhino Fund Centre and view the rhinos in the conservation reserve as you are heading to the Murchison Falls. Move to the top of the falls. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view and the vast animal species such as the elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, red-tailed monkeys and black- and-white colobus monkeys as well as some magnificent birdlife at close quarters.
Have a dinner and an overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River lodge / Red chillis (Full Board)

Day 6 A Game drive in the Northern bank of the Nile
After breakfast go for a game-drive. This will expose you to a wide range of the Rothschild Giraffe you will be fascinated by the vast Hippo population at the banks of the Nile River. Most of the animals earlier mentioned will be spotted as well  take a launch cruise along the Victoria Nile then dinner and over night at  Masindi town in New Court View Hotel / Masindi Hotel

Day 7 To Fortportal
After breakfast, transfer to Fort Portal. In the afternoon enjoy your time with the local communities as they will offer cultural entertainments. Visit the Toro Palace.
Have an overnight at  Ndali lodge / Rwenzori View Guest House/ Chimps Nest Lodge

Day 8 Chimpanzee tracking and a nature walk in Bigodi swamp
Early in the morning, after breakfast, have a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp. In the same breath, you will be trekking chimpanzees.   Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge/ Rwenzori view guest house/ Chimps Nest Lodge

 

Day 9 To Semliki np (Lake Albert)
After breakfast, have a walk in the tropical rainforest of Semliki National park. The panoramic view of River Semliki is so fascinating. A picnic lunch at the hot springs and a visit to the local community can make the day.  Dinner and over night at Semliki Safari lodge

Day 10 Visit the Hot Springs
After breakfast,   you will be transferred to Semliki Wildlifde reserve. Take a game drive through Semliki National Park to Lake Albert where you will enjoy a boat cruise. In evening visit the local communities for some interaction and entertainment.
Have a dinner and overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge (Full Board).

Day 11 To Queen Elizabeth Np.
After breakfast, our tour guide will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have an evening game drive in the Park.
A dinner and an overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana / Albertine Camp (Full Board)

Day 12 The Launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel
Take breakfast and go for a morning game drive. Pay a visit to the crater lakes region and visit the Katwe salt witness the extraction of salt from the lake. In the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel as you view the vast numbers of birds and animals such as the hippos, buffaloes, elephants, etc.
Have an overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Full Board)

Day 13 nature walks to the Bats cave to View the Python
After breakfast the tour guide will take you to the Maramagambo forest, visit the  bats and pythons’ cave. Then proceed to Ishasha for tree-climbing lions. Ensure that you go with packed lunch. From there, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - where you will arrive in the evening. Have a dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Homestead (Full Board)

Day 14 Gorilla Tracking
After breakfast go for Gorilla tracking deep in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In the afternoon, if tracking ends early enough, you will meet the Batwa community (Optional). Their hospitality will surely be rewarding.  Return to your lodge for dinner and over night

Day 15 To Kabale
After breakfast, transfer to Kabale to visit lake Bunyonyi named locally  after the various species of birds   that it has. Visit the Bakiga Musuem in Kabale .  You will get detailed explanations of the bakiga culture then have dinner and an overnight at White Horse Inn / Arcadia cottages.(Full Board)

Day 16   Boat ride around Kabale.
After breakfast enjoy a boat cruise on the lake. Visit the local community for traditional entertainment.
Return to the your Lodge for dinner and over night

Day 17  TO lake Mburo Np
After your breakfast depart for Lake Mburo. You will arrive in this park by mid-day. Have a game drive that will expose you to a number of antelope species, zebras, leopards and others.
Have an overnight at Mantana Camp Luxury Tented Camp (full Board).

Day 18:  To Musambwa island
After breakfast transfer to Musambwa Island in Sango Bay Ramsar Site- Rakai District. The island accommodates human-friendly reptiles and migratory birds that seasonally shit between Uganda and Russia. Leave the Islands in the evening and stay at Hotel Brovad in Masaka for a dinner and an overnight (Full Board).

Day 19. To Entebbe
In the morning, after your breakfast, transfer to Entebbe for your flight back home.

Vehicle / driver guide:

A  4 x 4 safari  Land Cruiser/ mini bus  with a pop up roof and safari guide  will be
