DAY 1: VISIT RWANDA’S CULTURAL CENTRE | NATIONAL MUSEUM | GENOCIDE

Arrive at Kanombe International Airport; meet the guide and head for a city tour. Visit places like the genocide memorial, historical sites like for the ancient Rwandan kings and visit the Palace, mosque quarter in Nyamirambo, and then drive to Butare, Rwanda’s cultural centre and visit the National Museum, go see performances done by the members of a Batwa Pottery Project with an introduction to the life of the first Rwandans, their art of pottery as well as drumming, singing, and dancing. Transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at

DAY 2: GAME VIEWING SAFARI | AKAGERA PARK

Before breakfast, go for the early morning game drive and have a chance to see animals like Butchell’s Zebra, lions, elephants, topi etc and over 425 species of birds including the African jacana, shoe billed stock, sacred ibis goliath heron etc, return and have late breakfast. In the afternoon after lunch, drive to Kigali and arrive in time for dinner and overnight at the accommodation of your budget.

DAY 3: NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast early morning, drive to Nyungwe forest National Park in the south east of Rwanda which is one of the most important destinations for bird watching and chimpanzee tracking in Rwanda. Have lunch enroute in time for lunch. After arriving at the accommodation, go for an afternoon primate walk in the forest. The forest has 13 species of primates like the handsome L’Hoest’s monkey, troops of a hundred strong Angola, the blue monkey and many others, so have a chance of seeing these primates and birds including the Rwenzori turaco. DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

Early morning before breakfast, enter Nyungwe forest and search for Chimpanzee. The Rwandan chimp population is about 500 individuals and the highest number is found in this forest. During the rainy season, a troop of chimpanzees often moves into Uwinka and the colored trail as well, and it is up to the tourist to decide whether to pay extra to track them. Have the opportunity and see how they feed and play with each other then return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Ruhengeri which lies near the twin lakes of Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo. Dinner and Overnight at:

DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING SAFARI | VOLCANOES PARK

Wake up early morning and head to Kinigi headquarters for briefing about the gorillas then proceed to Parc national de Volcans the home to the rare mountain gorillas. Trekking through the forest can take 1 to 4 hours. You may spot golden monkeys or see buffalo, bush duiker and a wide variety of bird life. Spend a magical hour in the company of the gentle giant gorillas as they go about their daily life, playing, resting, feeding, and raising their young and then return to the lodge for lunch. DAY 6: KIGALI CITY TOUR | DEPARTURE

After breakfast, have a city tour. Visit the city and curio markets, and then have lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and catch the flight back home
