VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Volcanoes National Park is positioned in the far northwest of Rwanda, near Mgahinga National Park of Uganda and Virunga National Park in Democratic Republic of Congo. The park is a home of the rare mountain gorillas and the rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and open grassland, swamp bamboo forest, and heath. Because the park is on 4,500m altitude, this enables an exciting trek through the cultivated foothills of the Virungas, offering stirring views in all directions. Then suddenly, the trail enters the national park, immersing trekkers in the strange relationship of the rainforest, alive with the calls of colorful birds and chattering of the rare golden monkey, and littered with fresh spoor of the mountains’ elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Through gaps in the forest canopy, the wonderful peaks are glimpsed, easily reachable and among the highest in Africa, beckoning an ascent.

 

A 3 DAYS RWANDA GORILLA SAFARI

Day 1: Arrive in Parc de Volcanoes
Meet, greet and be briefed by the safari guide about the tour. After briefing, transfer Kigali for a city tour. Visit places like the Kigali memorial centre a site where over 250,000 people were buried. This a well known grave sight and also serves as a permanent exhibition center for the benefit of survivors and young people. Have lunch in the nearby city then visit also a craft market located at the center of the city which is a home to variety of art and crafts which reflect the local and cultural heritage of the country then transfer to the park for dinner and overnight at:

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and with parked lunch, depart to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trip rules and regulations .Set off for the trekking into the tropical rain forest in search for the habituated gorilla groups. See how they feed, how they play with their young ones. This is the most magnificent wildlife experiences one can have by getting close to the animals to get a good study. Dinner and overnight at the previous accommodation.

 

Day 3: Departure
After breakfast, drive to Kigali, heading for the Airport and departure flight.
