3 days Gorilla Tour and Kigali city tour

Day 1: - Arrive Kigali-  Genocide memorial visit and transfer to Ruhengeri
On arrival at Kigali , our Company representative  will  meet you and brief you  about your gorilla trek .   If there is time , you will do a city tour in Kigali . Kigali is the Capital City of Rwanda .   It is an attractive city spread which some refer to as the city of thousand hills for which Rwanda is well known for. The City has a lovely, cheerful air and its people are some of the most gracious in the world. The markets, the handicraft shops and the genocide sites are some of the main places of  that you must visit . If  time  allows , you will have to visit Nyabugogo market, the Moslem quarter in Nyamirambo, the Franco-Rwanda cultural centre and a genocide memorial.   You will later be transferred to your  accommodation   in Ruhengeri, the main base town for Gorilla tracking, about 90 minutes drive from Kigali. The road is fairly good and offers some spectacular mountain scenery of Rwanda’s hilly countryside.

 Moderate accommodation in  GORILLA NEST LODGE or Mountain Gorilla View Lodge
Up market accommodation in Volcanoes Lodge or sabinyo Silver back lodge .

Day 2: PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS   and GORILLA   TREK
Take breakfast and report at 0730hrs to the Parc National des Volcans Headquarters in Kinigi office for registration, briefing and formalities. (your driver-guide will take care of this). Briefing by the park’s guides on how to behave once in presence of the Gorillas. Then drive on the brim of Parc National des Volcans.  Thereafter go through the park for Gorilla trekking. The time taken to look out for these gentle apes will vary with how close they will be and it is unpredictable because the search is in their natural habitats.   The gorilla safari here commences at about 2000 meters above sea level in the upmost slopes of the Volcanoes. After tracking and encountering your assigned group you will spend one hour in their company before   tracking your steps down the volcanoes.   An en counter after a strenuous walk is a worthwhile!  If time allows, you will visit the little known but eloquently gorgeous twin lakes of BULERA & RUHONDO.

Day 3: SHOPPING AND DEPARTURE - gorilla tour
On this day you can relax before your flight connections or go for last minute shopping before being driven to the airport for your outbound flight.
